Augustine Temperature Management is the name in patient warming. Dr. Scott Augustine invented the patient warming field, when he pioneered forced-air warming over 20 years ago. Due to concerns with patient safety and the spiraling costs that forced-air disposables were putting on the healthcare system, Dr. Augustine and his team of engineers pioneered the Next Wave in Patient Warming: conductive fabric warming, under the brand name HotDog patient warming. Conductive fabric warming has many intrinsic benefits: HotDog is air-free--which eliminates airborne contamination risks--cost effective, ergonomically superior and eco-green.
